Job Description

As an Assistant Manager in Human Resources, you will play a crucial role in supporting the HR department's day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives. You will be responsible for ensuring a smooth workflow and assisting in the management of HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with labor laws. Your role will involve collaborating with various departments to foster a positive and productive work environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a thorough understanding of HR best practices. Responsibilities

  • Assist in recruiting, including screening candidates and conducting preliminary interviews.
  • Support the implementation of HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Coordinate and assist in the development of training programs for staff.
  • Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and mediation.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and benefits to employees.
  • Aid in conducting performance appraisals and providing constructive feedback.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
  • Ensure legal compliance with all applicable state and federal labor laws.
  • Support the HR manager in preparing reports and analyzing HR metrics.
  • Coordinate with payroll and finance to ensure accurate and timely compensation.
  • Help manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes smoothly and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in a Human Resource role or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of HR functions, statutory laws, and regulations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for diverse interactions.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HR software applications and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
