Job Description

An Accounts Executive plays a crucial role in the financial health of an organization by managing client accounts, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. They work closely with clients to understand their financial needs, providing accurate and timely reporting, and managing the receivables and payables ledger. The Accounts Executive is also responsible for analyzing and interpreting financial data to provide insights and recommendations to management. With their strong analytical skills and detail-oriented approach, they contribute to sound financial decision-making. The role demands a high degree of confidentiality, accuracy, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain client accounts, ensuring accurate and timely transactions.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports complying with standard accounting practices.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their financial requirements and issues.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce insight into financial trends.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Prepare and process invoices, ensuring timely payments and managing cash flows.
  • Maintain and update documentation for all financial transactions and reports.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to streamline financial operations and reporting.
  • Assist in preparing budgets and forecasting financial performance and trends.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legislation and policies.
  • Provide support during annual audits by preparing essential documentation.
  • Generate and distribute account statements to clients, clarifying any discrepancies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline required.
  • Proven work experience as an Accounts Executive or similar accounting role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and current financial legislation.
  • Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to meet strict deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
