Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate Receptionist to join our healthcare team. As the first point of contact for patients and visitors, the Receptionist plays a crucial role in providing a welcoming and efficient environment in our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. The Receptionist will be responsible for managing appointments, handling patient inquiries, and ensuring smooth administrative operations. Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly upon arrival to the healthcare facility.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes accurately and efficiently.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, handling inquiries and relaying messages as needed.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments using electronic medical record systems.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the database promptly.
  • Assist patients with completing necessary paperwork and forms with utmost care.
  • Coordinate with healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient flow and clinic operations.
  • Process patient billing and insurance claims, verifying coverage details effectively.
  • Provide general administrative support, including filing, scanning, and faxing documents.
  • Manage office supplies inventory and reorder items to maintain stock levels.
  • Ensure the reception area and waiting room remain tidy and organized at all times.
  • Address and resolve any patient concerns or escalate issues to the appropriate department.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in healthcare administration is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a receptionist, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficient in using medical office software and electronic health records systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in administrative tasks.
  • Compassionate and patient-centric approach to delivering service in a healthcare environment.
