As a QC Engineer specializing in Painting & Coating, you will be pivotal in ensuring quality standards and specifications are met for all painting and coating activities within our organization. You will be responsible for the inspection, testing, and documentation of various painting and coating projects, focusing on both product quality and process efficiency. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and meticulous attention to detail, enabling you to assess the integrity of surface treatments and ensure compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and tests on paint and coating applications to ensure quality standards.
• Develop and implement quality control plans for painting and coating processes.
• Monitor paint and coating operations, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental standards.
• Inspect surface preparation and coating thickness according to project specifications.
• Maintain detailed records and prepare reports on quality inspections and findings.
• Coordinate with project management and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical support and training to personnel involved in painting and coating operations.
• Analyze testing and inspection data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Participate in audits and quality control reviews to maintain high standards of project delivery.
• Assist in evaluating supplier and contractor quality control systems and performance.
• Collaborate effectively with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure quality expectations are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control for painting and coating processes.
• Proficiency in using quality inspection instruments and testing equipment.
• Strong understanding of industry standards such as SSPC, NACE, and ISO requirements.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with teams and stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
• Proven problem-solving skills to identify and address quality issues proactively.
