Job Description

A Business Development Manager plays a crucial role in the growth and success of a company. They are responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building key customer relationships, and maintaining an extensive knowledge of current market conditions. A Business Development Manager works to improve an organization’s market position and achieve financial growth by defining long-term organizational strategic goals, building key customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, negotiating and closing business deals, and maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions. They are also responsible for developing and implementing a robust business development strategy, understanding industry trends, and making decisions that drive business productivity and profitability. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the capability to foster team collaboration.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to drive revenue growth.
  • Identify and establish new business opportunities and partnerships for the organization.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research and analyze industry trends to inform business strategy.
  • Negotiate contracts with prospective clients to secure profitable business deals.
  • Manage existing client accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to align on initiatives and campaigns.
  • Monitor competitors and industry developments to identify potential threats and opportunities.
  • Prepare and present business development reports and forecasts to senior management.
  • Attend industry events and networking opportunities to promote the company.
  • Coordinate with the product development team to align products with market needs.
  • Develop and manage budgets for business development initiatives and projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in business development or related fields.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and revenue targets.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to foster collaboration.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for managing client relationships.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and apply strategic business solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
