The Senior Mechanical Engineer is a pivotal role within our engineering team, tasked with overseeing the development of mechanical projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of engineering principles and possess robust experience in designing, developing, and testing mechanical equipment. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the company's engineering standards are upheld, whilst also demonstrating a strong commitment to innovation and efficiency. You will be expected to leverage your expertise to optimize our current mechanical systems, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to significant engineering strategies that influence product development. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a passion for mechanical system excellence, and the capability to lead complex projects under tight deadlines while ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and design mechanical components ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications.
  • Lead project teams in the execution of complex projects from the initial design phase through implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize mechanical systems and processes for enhanced efficiency.
  • Conduct detailed analysis and testing to verify system functionality and adherence to project requirements.
  • Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and fostering a culture of continuous education and improvement.
  • Prepare and present detailed technical reports and proposals to stakeholders outlining project progress and outcomes.
  • Utilize advanced computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and refine models and simulations.
  • Identify potential project risks and implement solutions to mitigate these issues effectively.
  • Ensure all mechanical designs adhere to regulatory compliance and safety standards.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring all expenditures align with the financial plans and constraints.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering to integrate cutting-edge technologies.
  • Coordinate with procurement and manufacturing teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 7–10 years of experience in mechanical engineering roles.
  • Proficiency in using CAD software for mechanical design and simulations.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with proven experience in managing engineering projects.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards related to mechanical engineering.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration and stakeholder interaction.
