Accounting Supervisor (225-717)

We are seeking a highly-organized and detail-oriented Accounting Supervisor to join our dynamic finance team. The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining robust internal controls. The successful candidate will have exceptional analytical skills, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to lead and motivate a team. In this role, you will oversee financial accounting functions, ensure compliance with regulations, and drive continuous improvement in financial processes. You will also collaborate with various departments to support budgeting and forecasting activities, providing key insights to aid decision-making processes. Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the accounting department.
• Review financial reports and accounting transactions for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure timely reconciliation of all accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis as needed.
• Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals to achieve departmental goals.
• Collaborate with external auditors and provide the necessary documentation during audits.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.
• Implement new accounting policies and update procedures as regulations evolve.
• Identify and suggest improvements in financial and administrative processes.
• Prepare month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely reporting.
• Ensure consistent application of accounting methodologies across all financial activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Experience in a supervisory or management capacity within accounting is preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and financial reporting.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail are necessary.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills to manage teams effectively.
