Job Description

The Vendor Operations Associate plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing the relationships with various vendors, ensuring smooth operation across all channels. This position is essential for maintaining effective communication, accurate data management, and efficient processes that align with the company’s strategic goals. The ideal candidate will be a strong collaborator with a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all vendor-related activities are streamlined and effective. This position involves working closely with both internal teams and external partners to resolve issues, implement improvements, and drive operational excellence. Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with key vendors to ensure enhanced service levels.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to align vendor activities with overall business objectives.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with predetermined service agreements.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors to ensure cost-effective procurement practices.
  • Analyze vendor data and performance metrics to identify areas for operational improvement.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise with vendors in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of vendor contracts, agreements, and communications.
  • Develop strategies to optimize vendor operations and enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Provide regular feedback to vendors on performance, expectations, and process enhancements.
  • Participate in vendor selection processes, evaluating capabilities and competencies.
  • Ensure all vendor operations follow legal guidelines and industry standards.
  • Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures for vendor management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a similar field.
  • Proven experience in vendor management or operations, preferably in a related industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful agreements.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management capabilities for managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining high standards of accuracy.
