Job Description

The Supply Chain Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain processes for a company. This professional is responsible for ensuring that products are efficiently transported from suppliers to the end consumer. A Supply Chain Specialist liaises with various departments, including procurement, logistics, and customer service, to ensure smooth and efficient operations. They apply analytical skills to improve processes, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. This role requires the ability to manage multiple projects, make strategic decisions, and adapt quickly to evolving market conditions. A proficient problem solver, the Supply Chain Specialist also needs to maintain strong relationships with vendors and partners to negotiate the best terms for the organization.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee the entire supply chain process from start to finish.
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify trends and implement improvements.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality products.
  • Manage inventory levels to meet customer demands efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including logistics and procurement departments.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies across the supply chain.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors and suppliers effectively.
  • Optimize logistics to minimize costs while meeting quality and delivery standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain to prevent disruptions.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on supply chain operations and improvements.
  • Utilize technology and software to enhance supply chain efficiency and accuracy.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in supply chain, logistics, or related roles.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data effectively.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for vendor and team interactions.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Familiarity with import/export regulations and international supply chain practices.
