Job Description

As a Supermarket Branch Supervisor, you will play a vital role in managing the daily operations of a supermarket branch. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to oversee all activities to ensure efficient operation and maximum profitability. You will be responsible for the smooth running of the store, ensuring that all operations, from managing staff and customer service to inventory and sales, align with company standards and objectives. As a key member of the management team, you are expected to uphold exemplary service standards while achieving the branch’s financial goals. Your proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to handle various tasks simultaneously will be essential in maintaining the success and reputation of the branch.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily branch operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Manage staff schedules to optimize labor and meet operational needs.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service management.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely restocking.
  • Implement sales strategies that align with the company’s objectives to increase profitability.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor new team members to uphold service standards.
  • Enforce health and safety regulations to maintain a safe shopping environment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback for staff development.
  • Resolve customer complaints tactfully, ensuring customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Analyze sales data and reports to identify areas for improvement and growth.
  • Maintain positive relationships with vendors, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the store at all times.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in retail supervision or relevant role in a supermarket setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with staff and customers.
  • Proficiency in using retail management software and understanding of retail KPIs.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Solid problem-solving skills with a customer-centric approach to service.
