Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures with precision and care for patients.
• Maintain patient records and update imaging databases accurately and timely.
• Explain ultrasound procedures and answer any questions patients might have.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment ensuring its optimal performance.
• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate diagnostic findings and make recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures regarding imaging services.
• Prepare ultrasound diagnostic reports to assist in clinical decision-making processes.
• Apply adequate sonographic techniques to obtain high-quality imaging results.
• Recognize and respond to emergency patient situations appropriately and promptly.
• Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with ultrasound techniques.
• Engage in quality improvement efforts to enhance patient care services continuously.
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of all patient information and records.

Requirements

• Degree or certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field is essential.
• Valid certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ experience working as a professional Sonographer.
• Proficient in using ultrasound technology and various sonographic techniques.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on compassionate patient care delivery.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction.
• Ability to handle sensitive patient information with absolute confidentiality.
• Detail-oriented with an ability to work independently and in a team environment.
