Job Description

The Site Logistics Manager is a crucial role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the logistics operations within a company’s site. This position plays a vital part in the efficient movement of goods and materials, ensuring seamless coordination between all parties involved. The Site Logistics Manager will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing logistical strategies that support the company’s objectives while working to reduce costs and improve service levels. This role demands strong leadership skills, the ability to solve complex problems, and efficiently manage resources to facilitate smooth logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of logistics management software, the ability to liaise with vendors and internal departments, and the capacity to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement site logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Coordinate with all departments to ensure seamless logistics operations and workflow.
  • Oversee the management of logistics personnel, including training and performance evaluation.
  • Monitor supply chain and logistics processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures across logistics operations.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to optimize supply chain efficiency.
  • Prepare and analyze logistics reports to track performance metrics and operational objectives.
  • Implement new technologies and processes to enhance site logistics efficiencies and capabilities.
  • Supervise the handling, storage, and distribution of goods within the site facilities.
  • Budget and allocate resources for logistics operations to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to update on logistics issues and resolve any operational challenges.
  • Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks associated with logistics and supply chain disruptions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in logistics management, preferably in a site-based environment.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics software and inventory management systems.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills for effective personnel supervision.
  • Outstanding problem-solving abilities and analytical skills to improve logistics processes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
