Overview

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems and services. You will work closely with development and operations teams to design, implement, and maintain robust infrastructure, automate processes, and improve system resilience. This role combines software engineering and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, distributed, fault-tolerant systems.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of services and infrastructure.

Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure systems.

Automate operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.

Develop and maintain observability solutions (monitoring, logging, alerting).

Collaborate with development teams to enhance system design for reliability.

Manage incident response and lead post-incident reviews.

Participate in on-call rotations to handle critical issues.

Document processes, runbooks, and best practices for operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or related roles.

Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Proficiency in scripting/programming languages (Python, Go, Bash).

Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible).

Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.).

Solid understanding of networking, security principles, and performance tuning.

Preferred Skills

Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture.

Knowledge of database performance optimization and caching strategies.

Familiarity with SLO/SLI/SLA concepts and error budgets.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
