Job Description

We are searching for a knowledgeable and experienced Service Advisor to join our dedicated automotive service team. As a crucial link between our customers and our automotive technicians, the Service Advisor will be responsible for understanding the customer's needs, providing accurate service recommendations, and overseeing the service process from start to finish. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, strong automotive knowledge, and a passion for providing outstanding customer service. This role demands an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering exceptional support to our clients while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.


Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly and courteously as they arrive at the service center.
  • Listen to customers' concerns and accurately diagnose automotive issues they are experiencing.
  • Provide clear and detailed service recommendations based on vehicle diagnostics.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and the automotive service team during repairs.
  • Maintain communication with customers regarding service status and potential delays.
  • Ensure all required documentation and paperwork for service and repairs are completed accurately.
  • Coordinate with parts suppliers to ensure parts availability and timely service delivery.
  • Advise customers on recommended vehicle maintenance schedules and repair options.
  • Facilitate discussions with customers on any additional repairs that may be needed.
  • Generate detailed work orders for the repairs as per company guidelines.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times in a customer-focused environment.
  • Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and retention.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; automotive degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as an automotive service advisor or in a similar customer service role.
  • Strong understanding of automotive maintenance and repair processes is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required for this role.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical customers effectively.
  • Proficiency in using automotive shop management or customer relationship management software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple customers simultaneously.
