Jacobs are seeking an Principal Consultant/ Associate Director to join our Strategic Transport & Mobility Advisory team in Dubai to lead strategic engagements with government and private sector clients across the Middle East. This is a leadership role within our growing Transport & Mobility Advisory team, with a focus on shaping the future of transportation and mobility, from policy and planning through delivery transformation and innovation.
What You’ll Do
As a Principal Consultant / Associate Director, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the growth of the team and driving forward our strategic offering across the region. Your responsibilities will include
Delivering excellent transport and mobility consultancy services managing a team to develop mobility strategies, transport policy studies, business cases and integrated advisory services across multimodal transport systems
Advising government agencies, authorities and private sector on the feasibility, regulation and implementation of smart and sustainable mobility ecosystems.
Technical and project lead of complex, multi-stakeholder advisory projects, ensuring delivery excellence, commercial performance and client satisfaction.
Support the management of the Strategic Transport & Mobility Advisory team, in terms of team development and growth, building technical capability and growing the transport and mobility advisory portfolio
Help drive business development and be responsible for work winning, identify the next opportunities and support the winning of opportunities
Through regular industry participation, you will develop and maintain strong key client relationships, identify emerging opportunities with clients and act as a trusted advisor to a select group of Jacobs key clients and represent the team at key thought leadership events
You will facilitate the technical development of more junior resources to meet market requirements and engage with high performers in a team environment to facilitate knowledge sharing and coaching
You will support your performance unity to ensure it can thrive in a global setting, encouraging cross-geography relationships in order to maximise the benefit of global delivery to our clients and our people.

Heres what youll need
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in transport planning, urban planning, economics, engineering, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in transport or mobility advisory, with at least 5 years in a consultancy environment leading strategic engagements.
Proven experience advising clients on transport strategies, urban mobility programs, public transit planning or emerging mobility (e.g. EV/AV frameworks, ITS, demand management, logistics strategy)
Strong understanding of transport governance, regulatory frameworks and policy development in the Middle East context.
Experience leading, planning and delivering a range of transport and mobility advisory projects, competent in technical delivery and commercial excellence, meeting budget and programme.
Strong written and oral communication skills with a confident presence and the capacity to effectively communicate complex ideas.
Effective commercial awareness, business development skills and an ability to maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders
Write and present winning proposals to support our clients in the Middle East.
Ideally, Here’s What You’ll Also Have
Experience working with ministries, regulators, transport authorities, or National Vision strategies (e.g., Vision 2030)
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
A passion for innovation, sustainable transport solutions and smart mobility concepts and the impact on our clients so you can help shape their thinking and our success in the market.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability and willingness to travel within the Middle East.
