The position will be responsible for managing predominantly commercial valuation instructions with a strong emphasis required on generating new business and growing the business line, whilst maintaining excellent relationships with existing clients.
The successful candidate MRICS/FRICS will be generating, coordinating, and managing commercial valuation assignments for a variety of clients to include Banks, International Lenders, Investors, Family Offices and REITs. They will manage a small team of Valuation and admin staff and contribute to the support of other APC candidates. This is an opportunity for the right individual to work with an experienced and successful team in an exciting and expanding area of Savills business.
Key Responsibilities
To carry our professional property valuations for land, commercial/ residential buildings, both existing properties, new build and under construction, ensuring correct advice and guidance is provided on accurate market values
Liaising with clients to secure instructions and prepare engagement letters
Coordinating Savills local teams across the Middle East network
Working alongside the wider UAE Valuation teams for the undertaking of regular contracted portfolio valuation work, bank instructions as well as one-off mandates for multiple purposes
Adopting Savills tools to provide market leading outputs for clients
Contribute directly towards improving the team’s fee income and profitability
Undertake a lead role in the promotion and development of the Valuation team within the wider Savills business
Produce high quality presentations and sign off reports
Co-ordinate and manage multiple instructions
Work with and assist other members of staff within the APC program
Play a key role as a mentor to junior staff, attending sessions to assist with their learning & development
Keep abreast of market developments and share these regularly with the team and firm as required
Evaluate, adapt, and improve standards, techniques, and procedures
Streamline data management and tracker systems to maximise efficiencies
Skills, Knowledge And Experience
Member of the RICS with relevant Valuation experience
At least two years’ experience in a similar role (knowledge of Middle East markets would be advantageous)
RICS qualified and RICS Registered Valuer status
Ideally 1 – 5 years PQE
Experience of working in a client facing valuation role
Familiarity with Argus Enterprise and knowledge of discounted cash flows
Willingness to work outside of comfort zone
Driving license holder
Precise work ethic, with excellent attention to detail
Self-motivated and able to use own initiative
