Job Description

The Senior Procurement Executive is a key player in an organization's supply chain and procurement operations, responsible for overseeing and improving the purchasing process to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of goods and services. This role involves strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, and compliance with procurement regulations and policies. A Senior Procurement Executive is required to work collaboratively across departments to understand and meet procurement needs while strategically managing supplier portfolios. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of industry best practices, impressive negotiation skills, and experience managing complex global supply chains to drive business success and sustainability. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Oversee the entire purchasing process, from requisition to payment.
  • Negotiate contracts and establish strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure adherence to service-level agreements.
  • Analyze market trends to identify leading suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Manage risk associated with sourcing and procurement activities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address procurement needs and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement regulations, policies, and ethical standards.
  • Lead and mentor junior procurement staff to achieve departmental goals.
  • Develop and maintain a preferred supplier list to streamline procurement efforts.
  • Prepare procurement reports and metrics to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Continuously assess and improve procurement processes for operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful contract management.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical skills for evaluating suppliers and market conditions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills across all organizational levels.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
