  • The Senior Manager, Network Operations is responsible for ensuring the secure, efficient, and compliant operation of the bank’s branch and office networks, wireless infrastructure, and Network Access Control (NAC) setup across UAE , IBG and MGN locations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining network reliability, security, and regulatory compliance, while leading audits, risk assessments, and major network projects.
  • Key Objectives
  • Ensure High-Performance Network Operations – Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of branch and office networks to support seamless banking operations.
  • Optimize Wireless Infrastructure – Deploy and manage secure wireless networks across banking locations, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity.
  • Implement & Maintain NAC Solutions – Strengthen access control and security by managing Network Access Control (NAC) across the bank.
  • Lead Compliance & Audit Initiatives – Ensure adherence to PCI-DSS, GDPR, and financial industry regulations, conducting regular audits and risk assessments.
  • Drive Network Security & Risk Management – Implement encryption protocols, compliance to banks RCSA framework to protect banking data.
  • Manage Network Projects & Upgrades – Lead large-scale network transformation projects, including Intelligent WAN, cloud integrations, and tech refresh infrastructure upgrades.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders – Work closely with IT, security, compliance, and senior leadership to align network operations with banking goals.

  • Maintain compliance with PCI-DSS, GDPR, and financial industry regulations.
  • Lead network security audits to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Implement network policies, encryption protocols, and NAC solutions for secure access.
  • Operational Efficiency & Cost Optimization
  • Reduce network operational costs through strategic vendor management and technology upgrades.
  • Streamline network provisioning and automation to enhance efficiency.
  • Improve incident resolution time, ensuring quick recovery from network-related issues.
  • Network Projects & Innovation
  • Lead large-scale Datacenter network transformation projects, including Intelligent WAN deployment.
  • Technology life cycle management of network Wired and Wireless infrastructure.
  • Oversee cloud-based network integrations for scalability and security.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance banking network capabilities.
  • Team Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Manage a team of network engineers and technicians, fostering innovation and technical excellence.
  • Work closely with IT, security, and compliance teams to align network operations with banking goals.
  • Engage with senior leadership to drive strategic network initiatives.

Qualifications

In the banking industry, a Senior Manager, Network Operations plays a crucial role in ensuring secure, compliant, and high-performance network infrastructure across branch and office networks, wireless setups, NAC implementations, audits, compliance, and network projects. Given the sensitive nature of financial transactions and customer data, expertise in security, compliance, and operational efficiency is essential.

Banking Industry-Specific Knowledge

  • Banking Network Infrastructure – Expertise in branch and office network design, SD-WAN, MPLS, and cloud-based networking.
  • Wireless & NAC Solutions – Strong understanding of secure wireless deployments, access control policies, and authentication mechanisms.
  • Network Security & Compliance – Familiarity with PCI-DSS, GDPR, SWIFT security standards, and financial industry regulations.
  • Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity – Experience in redundant network systems, failover strategies, and cybersecurity risk mitigation.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management – Knowledge of Cisco, Aruba, Solarwinds, and other network technology providers.

Relevant Experience

  • 15+ years in network operations management within financial institutions.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with branch and office network infrastructure, wireless technologies, and NAC solutions.
  • Proven track record in implementing secure network solutions, SD-WAN deployments, and cybersecurity enhancements.
  • Leadership experience in managing network operations teams in banking environments.
  • Certifications such as CCIE, CISSP certifications are preferred.
