Job Description

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

To lead cross-functional engineering teams to design, develop, and support enterprise-wide IT application platforms that enable scalable, secure, and reusable technology capabilities across the organization, aligning with evolving business needs in domains such as Passenger Service System (PSS), ERP, Revenue Accounting, Integrated Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establishes platform centric delivery model focusing on end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise platforms from requirements and design to development, testing, deployment, and support, ensuring platforms are responsive to business growth, future ready and aligned with enterprise architecture.
  • Defines long term strategy for digital platforms and develop product roadmap for these platforms that include the modernization of PSS (Passenger Service System), Customer 360, ERP and the Integrated Operations Hub.
  • Collaborates with internal product teams and business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into secure, reliable backend services, APIs, and integrations.
  • Manages and leads cross-functional engineering teams responsible for building, enhancing, and maintaining platform focusing on integration and interoperability, enabling ease of integration with digital products.
  • Embeds modern engineering practices, including Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), test automation, observability, and DevSecOps, into all phases of platform development and maintenance.
  • Establishes reusable components, patterns, and service contracts, improving delivery velocity and consistency across teams that consume these platforms.
  • Establishes platform support and reliability practices (Level 2 and above), including incident triage, root cause analysis, resolution coordination, and driving continuous improvement for supported platforms.
  • Ensures platform compliance and security, adhering to enterprise policies, data protection regulations, and secure coding standards.
  • Supports modernization initiatives, including integration of legacy systems, cloud migration, and adoption of event-driven and microservices architectures.
  • Mentors and grows platform engineering talent, fostering a culture of ownership, continuous learning, and engineering excellence across delivery and support functions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree (3+ years)
  • Bachelors degree in computer science and and/or Engineering. MBA is preferred
  • 10+ years’ experience of IT Management, Product/Project delivery and Transformation programs.Experience in leading large IT teams for software delivery and development at Airline or related MNCs.Airline Industry knowledge and awareness of emerging technologies.
  • Years with qualifications: 10 - 12 years
  • SAFe Agile development and PMP certification

Isr Requirements

Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day-to-day business operations.
