Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive legal strategy to proactively address complex litigation matters, regulatory challenges, and contentious inquiries impacting Binance and its global stakeholders.
Serve as the primary liaison with external legal counsel, expertly managing negotiations and interactions with opposing parties to protect Binance’s interests.
Provide strategic, commercially sound, and forward-looking legal advice to internal stakeholders across regions, ensuring a clear understanding of intricate legal and regulatory environments.
Lead the design and implementation of a holistic dispute resolution framework that aligns seamlessly with Binance’s broader business goals and risk management priorities.
Take full ownership of drafting, reviewing, and managing critical litigation and arbitration documents, including discovery responses, dispositive motions, expert reports, and settlement agreements.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional and regional teams, offering expert guidance on a wide range of legal issues varying in complexity, sensitivity, and jurisdictional scope.
Mentor and develop legal talent within the organization by delivering targeted training sessions to business partners and non-legal colleagues, enhancing overall legal literacy.
Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks within Binance’s global business operations, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to emerging challenges.
Oversee the administrative and operational functions of the litigation legal team, including billing, contract management, and document control, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
Requirements
Minimum of 12-15 years of extensive experience in litigation, investigations, and dispute resolution, preferably within the technology, financial services, or cryptocurrency sectors.
Significant international and cross-jurisdictional experience is highly advantageous.
Proven track record of leading complex legal operations and managing high-stakes, high-profile litigation matters on a global scale.
Exceptional command of the English language, both written and spoken, with strong legal drafting and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and high-pressure environment, managing multiple high-priority matters simultaneously with flexibility and resilience.
Demonstrated experience handling regulatory inquiries, information requests, and leading internal and external investigations effectively.
Strong interest and understanding of the cryptocurrency industry and its rapidly evolving regulatory landscape.
Deep legal expertise combined with sharp business acumen and proven people management and leadership capabilities.
Hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to independently lead and manage complex projects and litigation strategies.
Innovative mindset with the ability to develop and implement creative solutions to mitigate risks and resolve disputes efficiently.
Excellent skills in interpreting diverse legal frameworks, statutes, and contractual documents across multiple jurisdictions.
