The senior buyer is a pivotal role within our supply chain management team, responsible for managing end-to-end purchasing processes to support business operations. This role demands an individual who possesses a keen eye for detail and an in-depth understanding of current market trends to optimize purchasing strategies. The senior buyer will be tasked with building and nurturing vendor relationships to secure favorable terms and effectively manage company resources. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of negotiating contracts and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Collaborating cross-functionally, this role will ensure that inventory levels are maintained and aligned with production needs. The senior buyer will also be expected to analyze market conditions and anticipate future demand, providing valuable insights to drive cost efficiencies and support the company’s growth objectives. We are seeking a strategic thinker who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can handle complex procurement scenarios with a focus on sustainability and quality. The role requires setting high standards for vendor selection and consistently improving purchasing procedures to align with best practices in the industry.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational objectives.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and conditions.
  • Identify potential suppliers and cultivate strong vendor relationships for long-term benefits.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality and delivery standards.
  • Analyze market conditions and adjust purchasing strategies to mitigate risks effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and prepare detailed reports for management review.
  • Evaluate and improve purchasing policies and procedures for efficiency and compliance.
  • Resolve vendor disputes and address issues to maintain business continuity.
  • Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Conduct supplier audits to assess capabilities and ensure sustainable sourcing practices.
  • Support cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a buying or procurement role.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful contracts.
  • Excellent analytical skills for market analysis and demand forecasting insights.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and tools to manage purchase orders efficiently.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for vendor relationship management.
