The Segment Marketing Manager - Emerging Markets is a bold, forward-thinking leader who plays a critical role in unlocking growth through market expansion, brand differentiation, and customer engagement in high-potential, developing regions. This role is built for a dynamic and entrepreneurial individual who thrives on challenging the status quo, exploring new ways of thinking, and proactively shapes in go-to-market strategies. Success in this position requires creativity, curiosity, and the ability to turn insights into action, ensuring long-term commercial success and sustainable business expansion. This role also includes a regional product focus on SCBA for both Industrial (EMEA) and Fire applications (ME), ensuring strong market positioning and adoption.


Responsibilities:

  • Market Expansion Strategy: Develop and execute go-to-market strategies tailored to emerging markets, leveraging new approaches to customer acquisition, engagement, and brand positioning.
  • Strategic Commercial Planning: Challenge traditional models by designing and implementing agile, future-forward commercial strategies that drive growth and profitability.
  • Customer & Market Insights: Dive deep into market research to uncover untapped opportunities, emerging trends, and shifts in customer behavior that redefine how we position our products and solutions.
  • Brand Building & Awareness: Localize brand initiatives to ensure relevance, resonance, and impact within each emerging market.
  • Regional Product Focus: Lead marketing initiatives for SCBA, ensuring strong market positioning and adoption across Industrial and Fire sectors.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, product, channels, marcom and finance teams to foster alignment, break silos, and drive unified growth strategies.
  • Business Performance Monitoring: Define and track clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure success, analyze results, and adjust tactics or initiatives as needed to improve performance.
  • Innovation & Competitive Positioning: Continuously assess the competitive landscape and leverage insights to refine value propositions, pricing, and messaging.
  • Sales & Channel Enablement: Support MSA sales teams, channel partners, and customer service with product training, sales enablement tools, and content creation (collateral, digital assets, and sales toolkits).
  • Brand & Event Marketing: Support regional trade shows, digital events, media planning, PR, CSR activities, and industrial lobbying efforts to strengthen MSA’s market presence.
  • Execution & Agility: Implement, test, and iterate marketing strategies, optimizing resource allocation for maximum impact, utilizing the MSA Business System Principles.


Qualifications:

Experience required:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in marketing ideally in B2B, with at least 2 years focused on emerging markets.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute market expansion strategies in competitive and regulated industries.
  • Proven track record of launching and scaling marketing initiatives in diverse global regions.
  • Experience of managing product lines from support through to upskilling and outbound marketing to target market segments
  • Profile: analytical, business insight and entrepreneurship
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with technical products in a collaborative environment.
  • Exemplary communication, organizational, critical thinking, strategy development and project management skills.
  • Proven ability to acquire and understand customer needs and to translate those needs into differential product solutions
  • Results-oriented, creative to find solutions


Experience preferred:

  • Knowledge of technical products, standards and regulations of the safety industry
  • Product line management experience (industrial, cloud-based technology)
  • Knowledge and understanding of channel business, and project-based business in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Chemical, and Mining segments
  • Technical sales process and/or customer-facing role experience
  • Ability to understand evolving technology as a source for customer solutions and competitive advantage.
  • Ability to enthusiastically communicate MSA’s vision and strategy.
  • Experience with CRM systems, such as Salesforce.com
  • SAP ECC experience, Power BI
  • MS Office management & Excel proficiency


Education required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Engineering
  • Fluency in English


Education preferred:

  • Fluency in Arabic
