SAP FICO Consultant

As an SAP FICO Consultant, you will play a critical role in designing, configuring, and implementing SAP's financial accounting and controlling modules within an organization. This position demands a deep understanding of finance and accounting processes, combined with technical proficiency in the SAP FICO module. The ideal candidate should have experience in seamlessly integrating the FICO module with other SAP modules to facilitate effective business operations. They will work closely with business stakeholders to analyze requirements, provide robust solutions, and guide end-users through the financial processes supported by SAP. The consultant also ensures that the implemented solutions align with overall business strategies, compliance standards, and best practices. Strong communication skills, a strategic mindset, and problem-solving abilities are essential to drive successful outcomes and optimize financial operations

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business requirements for SAP financial modules implementation.
• Customize and configure SAP FICO solutions based on specific business needs.
• Integrate SAP FICO modules seamlessly with other SAP modules like SD, MM, etc.
• Conduct workshops and training sessions for end-users in utilizing the system.
• Provide support and troubleshooting for any issues related to SAP FICO modules.
• Collaborate with technical teams to develop system enhancements as required.
• Document all functional designs, processes, and specifications comprehensively.
• Participate actively in full project lifecycle, from blueprint to go-live stage.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations using SAP.
• Present solutions creatively to address business challenges using SAP FICO.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SAP system functionality enhancements.
• Review financial business processes and suggest improvements utilizing SAP solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an SAP FICO consultant.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial practices.
• Proficient in the configuration and implementation of SAP FICO modules.
• Experience with multiple full lifecycle SAP implementations is preferred.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with business stakeholders.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex financial processes.
• Flexibility to work in fast-paced environments and adapt to changes.
• Certification in SAP FICO modules is an added advantage.
