Position snapshot:

As a sales engineer - gas and steam turbine services, you will be responsible for driving B2B sales and business development activities for our steam and gas turbine services business globally. This role requires a deep understanding of both steam and gas turbine technologies, as well as strong sales acumen.


How will you impact the business?

  • Lead the sales effort for gas and steam turbine services globally, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and customers’ stakeholders, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure the customer's needs are effectively addressed in the sales process.
  • Prepare and present proposals, support contract negotiations, and close sales deals.
  • Understand competitor offerings and develop regional strategies to compete effectively.
  • Manage commercial risks and coordinate the resolution of technical issues


What do you bring to the team?

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Extensive experience in a technical (field service or engineering) or sales role with a focus on heavy-duty gas and steam turbine technologies.
  • Deep understanding of the GE-vintage gas and steam turbine operation and components, with the ability to communicate effectively with both commercial and technical customer staff.
  • Ability to work autonomously, without direct authority.
  • Strong commercial judgment and skills required to create demand, commercialize sales leads, and effectively manage new customer accounts.
  • Willingness to support other teams within the business (field services, engineering) on an as-needed basis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 75% of the time.
