The Role

We’re looking for a hunter-minded Sales Development Representative (SDR) to drive Sparta’s growth across the region. You’ll be on the front lines of our go-to-market strategy, opening doors and sparking conversations with senior traders, analysts, and decision-makers at oil trading firms, NOCs, IOCs, and financial institutions.

This role is about relentless prospecting, sharp research, and tailored outreach that generates real pipeline. If you’re motivated by targets and energized by breaking into new accounts, you’ll thrive here.

Although we work flexibly, wed expect this role to work from our Dubai office 3+ days per week and spend time with the team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Hunt into oil trading and commodities accounts across the Middle East.
  • Use LinkedIn, HubSpot, and industry research to map and engage key stakeholders.
  • Craft personalised, insight-driven outreach sequences that resonate with traders and analysts.
  • Qualify inbound leads and move them through the funnel with urgency.
  • Secure discovery calls and product demos for Senior Sales Managers.
  • Partner with Marketing on ABM campaigns and regional initiatives.
  • Stay informed on oil and energy market developments to add credibility in conversations.
  • Track activity and pipeline progress in HubSpot and OutReach, report results to leadership.

About You:

  • 1–3 years in sales development, lead generation, or client-facing roles (SaaS or financial services preferred).
  • Exposure to commodities, energy markets, or trading workflows is a strong advantage.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills for high-impact, personalized outreach.
  • Hunter mentality: persistent, competitive, and driven to exceed targets.
  • Proficient in CRM systems (HubSpot).
  • Thrives in ambiguity. Proactive, with a proven ability to work with a high level of independence and urgency
  • High level of integrity, ethical standards, and alignment with Sparta’s values
