The role of a Procurement Executive is pivotal within any organization as it directly influences the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of company operations. A Procurement Executive is responsible for devising and implementing procurement strategies that enhance product quality and cost-effectiveness. Moreover, a Procurement Executive works closely with suppliers, initiates request-for-proposal processes, and oversees contract management. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the procurement process, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Analyze market trends to foresee shifts in supply and demand patterns.
  • Coordinate closely with stakeholders to address specific procurement needs.
  • Ensure timely procurement and delivery of goods and services to meet operational needs.
  • Monitor supplier performance and manage any issues related to delivery and quality.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to procurement activities and decisions.
  • Implement new procurement processes to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record in supplier management.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with vendors and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong decision-making ability and attention to detail are essential.
