Job Description

A Planning Engineer is a vital part of any engineering or construction project. This role involves meticulous planning, systematic scheduling, and efficient management of project timelines to ensure timely completion and resource optimization. Planning Engineers employ their technical expertise, analytical skills, and industry knowledge to overcome scheduling conflicts and project delays. Responsibilities

  • Liaise with suppliers and contractors to align on project timeframes.
  • Update schedules and reports regularly to reflect project changes and progress.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in project execution.
  • Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen project risks or delays.
  • Analyze project data to improve future planning and execution strategies.
  • Attend progress meetings and collaborate with the project team for updates.
  • Advise on project feasibility and resource allocation for optimized performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Planning Engineer or in a similar project management role.
  • Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills for efficient planning.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Understanding of project management principles and construction processes.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
