Job Description

A Patient Service Executive plays a crucial role in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring smooth operations within healthcare facilities. This position involves interacting with patients and their families, hospital staff, and healthcare providers to facilitate a supportive and efficient care environment. As the front-line contact for patients, the Patient Service Executive is responsible for managing appointments, handling patient inquiries, and coordinating with medical professionals to provide timely and accurate information. This role requires strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting, all aimed at enhancing the patient experience and improving healthcare service delivery.


Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors in a courteous manner.
  • Manage patient appointments and maintain accurate scheduling records.
  • Handle patient inquiries and provide information about medical services.
  • Coordinate with medical professionals to streamline patient care processes.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all privacy regulations.
  • Collect and verify patient information and ensure data accuracy.
  • Assist patients with insurance forms and payment processing when needed.
  • Monitor and manage office supplies and ensure availability for staff use.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to improve service delivery.
  • Document customer interactions and follow up on unresolved matters.
  • Ensure the reception area is organized and welcoming for all patients.
  • Address patient complaints and provide resolutions or escalate issues.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree in healthcare preferred.
  • Previous experience in customer service within a medical setting desired.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with office management software and telecommunications systems.
  • Ability to maintain composure and empathy during patient interactions.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare industry standards.
