Job Description

The Patient Relations Executive is a key interface between healthcare institutions and the patients they serve. Designed to enhance patient satisfaction and ensure smooth communications, this role is crucial in addressing patient concerns, providing information, and facilitating access to services. As a Patient Relations Executive, you will serve as a liaison between patients and the healthcare team, ensuring that patient inquiries are addressed, feedback is collected, and any conflicts are resolved in a timely manner. You'll play an essential part in fostering a positive environment where patient needs are met with empathy and efficiency, strengthening the patient-provider relationship. This position requires excellent communication skills, a calm demeanor in handling challenging situations, and a proactive approach to solving problems.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers to ensure clarity and understanding.
  • Address patient inquiries and concerns with empathy and prompt resolution techniques.
  • Collect and analyze patient feedback to improve healthcare services and patient satisfaction.
  • Work closely with medical staff to provide accurate and timely information to patients.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate administrative teams for effective problem-solving.
  • Develop and implement patient service protocols to enhance care and satisfaction.
  • Maintain detailed records of patient interactions to assist in quality assurance and service improvement.
  • Facilitate patient onboarding processes to ensure smooth service initiation and continuity of care.
  • Collaborate with departments to streamline processes and improve patient experience strategies.
  • Participate in training sessions to remain updated on healthcare policies and customer service skills.
  • Ensure patient privacy and data protection compliant with healthcare regulations.
  • Assist in coordinating patient discharge plans, providing necessary information and support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, public relations, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a patient relations or customer service role in healthcare is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients.
  • Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and prioritize patient needs.
  • Empathy and patience to handle sensitive issues with care and professionalism.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and patient management software for data entry and retrieval.
  • Understanding of healthcare regulations and patient privacy laws to ensure compliance.
