A Patient Coordinator plays a vital role in healthcare organizations, ensuring the seamless interaction between patients and medical professionals. Responsibilities

  • Provide patients with accurate information regarding healthcare services offered.

  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely patient check-ins and check-outs.
  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date patient records securely and confidentially.
  • Field incoming patient calls, addressing inquiries, concerns, and scheduling requests.
  • Facilitate smooth communication flow between patients and healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate with insurance companies to verify patient coverage and billing concerns.
  • Monitor patient follow-ups and ensure necessary continuity of care arrangements.
  • Conduct outreach to remind patients of upcoming appointments or necessary tests.
  • Address patient feedback and complaints promptly, seeking resolutions as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings to improve patient care processes and services.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in healthcare administration or related field.
  • Proven experience in a medical office setting, preferably in a coordinator role.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive information.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in fast-paced environments.
  • Proficiency in healthcare software systems and electronic medical records management.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, addressing challenges with practical solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Empathetic and patient-focused approach, understanding patient needs and concerns.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling patient information and documentation.
