MEP Supervisor -Power (225-617)

The MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Supervisor - Power is a pivotal role within our engineering team, tasked with overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of power systems in construction projects. This role involves ensuring that all power-related activities meet industry standards, are completed on schedule, and are within budget. The MEP Supervisor - Power coordinates with project managers, engineers, and contractors to facilitate seamless project operations and safeguard quality and safety standards. This position requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of power systems, and the ability to solve complex technical issues effectively. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to project management and a commitment to fostering positive workplace relationships and efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the installation and maintenance of electrical power systems.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental guidelines and regulations.
• Review and interpret MEP blueprints and technical drawings to guide installation processes.
• Manage and supervise MEP technicians and subcontractors for project deliverables.
• Maintain quality control and quality assurance measures across all MEP activities.
• Prepare progress reports and communicate regularly with management on project status.
• Conduct site inspections to evaluate and mitigate potential issues or risks.
• Coordinate with project managers to align activities with project timelines and budgets.
• Utilize project management software to schedule tasks and facilitate team communication.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs for MEP systems.
• Resolve any on-site issues promptly with effective problem-solving strategies.
• Stay updated with the latest industry developments and technological advancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP supervisory roles, particularly in power systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a diverse team.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure.
• Proficient in using project management and design software such as AutoCAD and MS Project.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaborative teamwork.
