Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a passion for building and repairing wood structures. You will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. Responsibilities

• Construct, install, and repair wooden frameworks and structures such as walls, floors, and door frames.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp project requirements.
• Take accurate measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed for a project.
• Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other material according to specifications.
• Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures as necessary.
• Install structures and fixtures such as windows, frames, flooring, and trim using carpenter’s tools.
• Build stairs and install partitions, drywall, and cabinetry.
• Focus on safety standards and building codes while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship.
• Collaborate with other professionals such as electricians and plumbers for a coordinated project delivery.
• Maintain and ensure the proper use of carpentry tools and equipment.
• Offer repairs and maintenance to existing products when required.
• Stay up-to-date with new tools, craftsmanship skills, and construction materials.

Requirements

• Proven experience as carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed work.
• Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials and excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods.
• Familiarity with industry practices, laws, and regulations related to construction and carpentry.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan out projects.
• Knowledge of the standards of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade.
• Strong physical condition and stamina with the ability to work in various environments.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
• Completion of a vocational training program or apprenticeship is preferred.
• Valid certification or license may be required as regulated by local jurisdictions.
