Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Engineer to join our team and oversee the design, implementation, and management of MEP systems within our projects. This role requires a professional who is not only knowledgeable in the individual disciplines of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems but also has the expertise to integrate these systems to work seamlessly together. You will work closely with architects, construction managers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure that all systems meet client requirements and adhere to industry standards. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the design and implementation of MEP systems in construction projects.
  • Collaborate with architects and civil engineers to integrate MEP designs effectively.
  • Develop detailed MEP system plans that meet safety and sustainability standards.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and safety regulations.
  • Oversee the installation and testing of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Manage project budgets by monitoring costs and negotiating with contractors.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to contractors and on-site staff as necessary.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies in MEP systems during project execution.
  • Ensure all MEP systems are compliant with local building codes and regulations.
  • Prepare technical specifications, reports, and documentation related to the project.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in MEP technologies and industry best practices.
  • Lead and mentor a team of junior engineers and designers in the MEP department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working as an MEP Engineer on large projects.
  • Proven knowledge of MEP systems engineering and project management principles.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse project teams.
  • Comprehensive understanding of building codes, regulations, and local standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, capable of resolving project challenges.
