Stantec is currently looking for a Mechanical Inspector (Healthcare) to join our team in Dubai.

Mechanical Inspector (Healthcare) will be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical systems and components within healthcare building projects meet specified design criteria, comply with regulatory requirements, and adhere to industry standards. This position requires expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and medical gas systems specifically designed for healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical installations, including HVAC systems, plumbing, and medical gas systems, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
  • Review project plans and specifications to ensure all mechanical work aligns with healthcare design requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address and resolve any mechanical issues that arise during construction.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports, documenting compliance or non-compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Conduct field tests and performance evaluations of mechanical systems to ensure proper functionality and safety.
  • Evaluate and recommend potential improvements for mechanical systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor the construction process to ensure adherence to timelines and budget specifications.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations for code compliance and best practices in mechanical systems for healthcare environments.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry regulations, codes, and technologies related to healthcare mechanical systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience (7-10 years) as a Mechanical Inspector or similar role in the healthcare construction industry.
  • Certification as a Mechanical Inspector (e.g., ICC Certified Mechanical Inspector) is an asset.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Proficient in using inspection tools and software for documentation and reporting.
  • Must have experience working in the UAE.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites as required.
  • Certification in HVAC or plumbing systems is a plus.
