As we continue to develop Marine & Offshore activities, we are delighted to offer a unique opportunity to join our organisation as Marine Operational Center (MOC) Surveyor for Marine operations. Position is located within our Dubai office in United Arab Emirates and you will be welcomed in a supportive and collaborative learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Issuance of instructions for surveys in case of Class transfer, Class Re-assignment, Change of flag, postponements, ship conversion, initial Statutory surveys, and other cases as deemed necessary
  • Review of survey reports for validation and updating related database and for monitoring
  • Approval of SOPEP/SMPEP/STS manuals
  • Liaison with Plan Approval Offices, Head Office and Flag Administrations
  • Provide technical support to Units and to ships of the assigned zone
  • Take technical decisions in line with the responsibilities assigned, within the Operational Authority Limitations
  • Issue Classification certificates and, on behalf of Administrations, permanent Statutory certificates if not already done (New Construction, Class transfer, class reinstatement, change of flag, and other cases)
  • Issuance of attestations
  • Provide Necessary information and support to Head Office
  • Issuance of service supplier certificates

Requirements:

  • University degree in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture
  • PC Literate
  • Fluency in English, both wirtten and spoken
  • Arabic is a plus
  • Strong communication and reporting skills
