KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Annual Internal Audit Plan and Strategy
  • Develop and execute the annual internal audit plan, ensuring it aligns with organizational priorities, strategic objectives, and the risk management framework.
  • Provide strategic oversight for audit activities across financial, operational, and compliance domains.
  • Audit Program Development and Scoping
  • Define audit scopes and objectives in coordination with key stakeholders and business leaders.
  • Design detailed, risk-based audit programs tailored to business functions and processes.
  • Enterprise Risk Register and Control Framework Management
  • Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of the organization-wide risk register, ensuring timely identification and categorization of key business risks.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve the internal control framework in line with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Fieldwork, Control Testing, and Observations
  • Oversee and lead audit fieldwork and testing activities to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and risk mitigation measures.
  • Identify control deficiencies, operational inefficiencies, and non-compliance issues; develop well-documented and actionable audit observations.
  • Stakeholder Communication and Reporting
  • Engage stakeholders across departments to validate findings, ensure alignment on corrective actions, and foster collaborative solutions.
  • Prepare and present high-quality draft and final audit reports for senior management and the Audit Committee, ensuring clarity, timeliness, and audit integrity.
  • Governance, Compliance, and Policy Review
  • Ensure all audit work complies with internal audit standards, organizational policies, and external regulatory requirements.
  • Support the enhancement of corporate governance practices by advising on compliance and internal control improvements.
  • Ad-Hoc Reviews and Management Requests
  • Conduct special investigations and operational reviews at the request of senior leadership (e.g., MD/CM office), delivering timely and insightful findings.
  • Provide audit support for key organizational initiatives, such as process redesigns, system implementations, or incident reviews.
  • Team Leadership and Professional Development
  • Supervise, coach, and develop internal audit team members, ensuring performance excellence and career growth.
  • Promote innovation and continuous improvement in audit techniques, tools, and methodologies to enhance audit effectiveness and efficiency.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • Recognized professional qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIA, CPA, & CIMA).
  • CIA certification is highly preferable.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years relevant experience in conducting SOX and ICFR Audits.
