Job Purpose

The role of the Manager Creative Services will lead, inspire, and drive operational efficiency to the in-house graphic design team to deliver innovative and high impact design solutions across the Emirates Group's diverse portfolio of brands. They will oversee the design output spanning across corporate identity, brand design and guidelines, annual reports, custom aircraft livery design, product and retail design, promotional collateral, exhibitions and events. They will set and maintain the design standard benchmark, co-produce brand manuals and guidelines and provide strategic graphic design and art-direction to ensure that all creative work meets and maintains exceptional standards of design excellence.

In This Role, You Will

  • Lead and inspire the graphic design team to produce exceptionally innovative work that aligns with the portfolio of brands and their individual communications objectives.
  • Develop and implement design concepts for various projects, ensuring they support individual project goals and are aligned with overarching brand identity.
  • Collaborate with internal specialist departments to ensure cohesive cross-team collaboration across all projects.
  • Oversee the entire design process and art-direction of still photography production projects, from concept development to final execution, ensuring all creative output is delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with brand guidelines. to the highest of standards. Review, approve, and uphold the quality of all design work, maintaining consistency with the company's creative standards and visual identity at every stage.
  • Provide strategic oversight in the development, implementation, and maintenance of an effective traffic management system to streamline workflow, drive efficiency and enhance team productivity ensuring processes are executed effectively to support seamless project delivery.
  • Oversee all external production work, including identifying suppliers and working with project leads to ensure high quality delivery whilst ensuring all work is conducted in line with the company procurement policy.
  • Mentor, direct and guide team members, cultivating a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement to enable exceptional creative output. Support and promote the technical growth of the team by developing learning opportunities, sharing expertise, and encouraging innovation to enhance the team's technical capabilities across projects.
  • Remain current with industry trends and best practices, incorporating innovative ideas and technologies into the creative process to maintain design work cutting-edge.

Qualification

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Masters Degree in Graphic Design Marketing & Media Communications would be an advantage
  • A graphic design higher diploma with 4 years of study.
  • Experience with managerial/leadership experience in a graphic design/advertising environment required including advising/coaching graphic designers.

Essential Knowledge/skills

  • Experience in developing the full range of graphic design solutions including brand communications, above-the-line, below-the-line, through-the-line, corporate identities, brochures, direct-mail, exhibition and promotions, retail, digital, design and print.
  • Hold expert knowledge in the following software: InDesign / Photoshop / Illustrator.
  • Be proficient on a Mac and with the OSX operating system.
