Job Description

A Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in managing and optimizing the supply chain operations of an organization. The primary function is to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of goods and services, coordinating between various departments and stakeholders to achieve this goal. Responsibilities

  • Maintain detailed records of shipments, including delivery times and transportation costs.
  • Work closely with shipping companies and transportation providers to schedule timely deliveries.
  • Analyze logistical issues and propose practical solutions to management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless integration of logistical plans.
  • Manage inventory levels to avoid stockouts and ensure the availability of essential products.
  • Prepare accurate reports on operational efficiency, cost management, and logistics performance.
  • Ensure compliance with governmental regulations and company policies regarding transportation.
  • Lead and mentor junior staff within the logistics department, fostering skill development.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with carriers and suppliers for better service terms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics software and transportation management systems (TMS).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills to coordinate efficiently with various stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex logistical problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency in tasks.
