Job Title: Legal Project Manager

Job Purpose


To manage and deliver legal projects efficiently and effectively by coordinating with cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with internal policies and UAE legislation, and leveraging legal technology and process optimization. The role supports the legal team in documentation, risk management, and operational execution, while driving innovation through AI and automation to enhance the overall efficiency of the department


Key Responsibilities


Core Accountabilities



  • Support the legal team with drafting, reviewing, and finalizing project-related documents leveraging the available archive and best practice

  • Lead the end-to-end management of legal projects, ensuring delivery within defined scope, budget, and timelines while meeting quality and compliance standards

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, workflows, and schedules to support structured execution and monitoring

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (Legal, Support Services, Business Excellence, etc.) to ensure alignment and timely delivery of legal initiatives

  • Prepare and present project progress reports, risk assessments, and performance updates to senior management

  • Identify and assess legal project risks, and develop comprehensive mitigation plans to safeguard DCT’s interests and ensure successful project delivery

  • Ensure all projects comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and applicable laws (including UAE legislation)

  • Ensure proper documentation and record management for all legal matters

  • Provide general administrative support, including scheduling, correspondence, and follow-up actions as required by direct manager

  • Implement and manage legal technology solutions, such as contract lifecycle management and case management systems

  • Collaborate with Data & AI and Technology teams to identify and implement AI use cases and robotic process automation (RPA) solutions that enhance the operational efficiency of the Legal and Government Affairs Department


Shared Activity



  • Carry out any other duties and responsibilities related to the role at the request of the direct manager

  • Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner

  • Demonstrate compliance to organization’s values and ethics at all times to support the establishment of a value drive culture within the organization

  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.

  • Adhere to the DCT Occupational Safety and Health policy, regulations, and laws, and provide help to the Corporate EHS in executing the OSHMS.



  • Report any incidents, near misses, occupational illnesses, unsafe practices, and conditions immediately to the concerned person and participate in the investigation of OSH incidents, as required.


Qualifications & Experience



  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Project Management, Business Administration or any relevant role

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in project management preferably within a legal or corporate environment


Skills



  • Ability to lead end-to-end legal project execution, including scope definition, timeline management, resource allocation, and budget control

  • Skilled in developing and maintaining structured project plans, workflows, and schedules using project management tools

  • Proficient in identifying legal and operational risks, developing mitigation strategies, and ensuring project continuity and compliance

  • In-depth understanding of UAE legislation and internal policy frameworks to ensure legal projects meet all compliance requirements

  • Knowledge of legal records archiving, retrieval, and documentation standards to support transparency and audit readiness

  • Experience in deploying and managing legal tech solutions

  • High level of accuracy in handling legal documents, data, and project deliverables

  • Demonstrates proactive problem-solving and accountability in managing legal projects and operational tasks



  • Comfortable working in dynamic environments and adjusting plans based on evolving priorities and stakeholder feedback
