Job Description

A Leasing Manager plays a critical role in the real estate and property management sectors, overseeing the leasing operations within residential or commercial establishments. They are responsible for ensuring high occupancy levels, managing lease negotiations, and building lasting relationships with tenants. This dynamic role demands excellent communication skills, a sound understanding of market developments, and the ability to strategize effectively for maximizing lease revenues. The Leasing Manager often acts as the bridge between property owners and tenants, ensuring that leasing policies are enforced and maintaining excellent service standards throughout the leasing process. Beyond tenant relations, they also manage a team of leasing agents, guiding and mentoring them to achieve sales targets and enhance tenant satisfaction, ensuring the property maintains a competitive edge in the market.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the entire leasing department and its operations effectively.
  • Develop and implement strategic leasing plans to maximize occupancy rates.
  • Negotiate lease terms and agreements with prospective and existing tenants.
  • Provide guidance and support to leasing agents in achieving their sales goals.
  • Evaluate the property market trends to capitalize on growth opportunities.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with lease terms and company policies.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with tenants and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present leasing reports and market analyses to management.
  • Conduct property tours and handle customer inquiries and complaints.
  • Ensure digital marketing strategies are employed to attract potential tenants.
  • Assist in setting competitive rental rates to optimize property income.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure properties are tenant-ready.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a property leasing or management role.
  • Strong negotiation and sales skills with proven track record in real estate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse audiences.
  • Solid understanding of property management and leasing practices and regulations.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor a successful leasing team effectively.
  • Proficient in using property management software and digital marketing tools.
