Job Summary
As an Executive Director within the Commodity Sales team in Dubai, you will lead client interactions and drive the execution of commodity structured financing trades. As a senior member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our sales strategy and enhancing our client offerings.
Job Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, understanding their unique needs.
- Originate transactions and oversee the execution process from A to Z, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal risk policies.
- Analyse market trends and drivers to identify new business opportunities. Develop and implement strategic sales initiatives that align with market conditions and client needs.
- Partner with trading, research, corporate and investment banking and risk management teams to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients. Facilitate effective communication between departments to enhance client service
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth within the team.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
This role requires a combination of technical expertise, market knowledge, and interpersonal skills, including:
- Significant experience in commodities sales (ideally 10+ years) with a focus on structured financing, demonstrating a proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Ability to analyse complex market data and trends to inform strategic decisions and client recommendations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly and effectively to clients and stakeholders
- Strong leadership qualities with a collaborative mindset; proven ability to work effectively within a team and mentor junior colleagues
- A deep understanding of client needs and the ability to deliver exceptional service that builds loyalty and trust
- Advanced proficiency in analytical tools, and deep knowledge of credit risk related metrics
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance
