Lead Structural Engineer (Offshore) (225-702)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Structural Engineer with a focus on offshore engineering. The ideal candidate will take the lead in designing, analyzing, and installing various structural components that withstand extreme marine climates. This role is crucial in ensuring the integrity and safety of offshore structures such as oil platforms, wind farms, and subsea systems. The successful candidate will utilize advanced engineering principles, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and lead the project lifecycle from conceptual design through to detailed engineering and execution. Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and analysis of offshore platforms and associated components.
• Collaborate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to ensure project integration.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and support staff in engineering tasks.
• Conduct technical reviews and offer insights for continuous design improvement and innovation.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to meet organizational goals.
• Ensure all structural designs comply with relevant offshore engineering codes and standards.
• Coordinate with clients to understand project requirements and deliver tailor-made solutions.
• Prepare detailed documentation and reports for project stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
• Monitor the installation phase and provide technical support for construction teams.
• Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for structural concerns.
• Conduct site visits to offshore locations to inspect, evaluate, and resolve engineering issues.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental protocols throughout all project stages.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural engineering for offshore projects.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or the ability to obtain one promptly.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software and CAD design tools critical for offshore applications.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards such as API, ISO, and DNV-GL for offshore engineering.
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
