Landscape Designer (225-613)

As a Landscape Designer, you will be at the forefront of designing and transforming outdoor environments, creating functional and aesthetically pleasing landscapes. Your role will involve a deep understanding of the natural environment, along with the creativity to design spaces that are not only beautiful but sustainable. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to understand their landscaping vision and project objectives.
• Create landscape designs and plans using digital software and manual drawing techniques.
• Conduct site analysis and surveys to assess existing vegetation and site conditions.
• Develop cost-effective budgets and timelines while ensuring design quality and site integrity.
• Select appropriate plants, trees, and other flora based on climate, soil, and aesthetics.
• Provide guidance to landscaping teams to ensure design plans are accurately implemented.
• Present design proposals to clients and stakeholders to receive feedback and approval.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in landscape architecture and design.
• Maintain project documentation including contracts, design amendments, and project notes.
• Coordinate with suppliers to source landscaping materials at competitive prices.
• Incorporate sustainability practices in designs for environmentally responsible landscapes.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines and client expectations are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Environmental Design, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Landscape Designer or similar role in landscape architecture.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar programs.
• Strong understanding of grading, drainage, and planting in diverse environments.
• Excellent communication skills for client interactions and collaborative teamwork.
• Strong project management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Knowledge of sustainable design practices and environmental regulations in landscaping.
