Landscape Architect

The Landscape Architect is responsible for designing aesthetically pleasing, functional, and sustainable outdoor spaces that integrate with the natural environment. This role involves collaborating with architects, urban planners, and clients to develop detailed plans for parks, gardens, commercial sites, and public areas. The ideal candidate has a strong background in design, horticulture, and environmental planning, with proficiency in relevant software and strong project management skills.

Responsibilities:

• Develop landscape designs based on site analysis, client needs, and sustainability principles.

• Create detailed plans, sketches, and 3D models using CAD and landscape design software.

• Select appropriate materials, plants, and features for each project.

• Work closely with architects, civil engineers, and urban planners on integrated projects.

• Prepare cost estimates, timelines, and documentation for project proposals.

• Ensure compliance with zoning laws, environmental regulations, and building codes.

• Oversee construction progress and provide on-site guidance during implementation.

• Conduct environmental impact assessments and site inspections.

• Revise designs based on feedback and evolving project requirements.

• Stay up-to-date with trends in landscape architecture, materials, and climate-resilient design.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in landscape design or planning.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS software.

• Strong design and artistic skills with attention to detail.

• Knowledge of horticulture, irrigation systems, and site grading.

• Understanding of environmental sustainability and native plant selection.

• Excellent communication and client interaction skills.

• Strong project management and multitasking abilities.

• Familiarity with local regulations and permitting processes.
