Job Description

As a Design Coordinator in the Interior Design industry, the ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating aesthetically pleasing and functional spaces. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between design vision and execution, ensuring that projects run smoothly from concept to completion. This role demands a high level of coordination with various stakeholders, including clients, architects, contractors, and vendors, to deliver high-quality interior environments within set timelines and budgets. The Design Coordinator will work collaboratively with design teams to develop compelling concepts, prepare presentations, manage project documentation, and maintain up-to-date knowledge on market trends and product innovations. A successful Design Coordinator is organized, communicative, and motivated, with the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and communicate design project details with all involved parties.
  • Manage timelines and schedules to ensure projects are delivered on time.
  • Assist in the development and presentation of design proposals to clients.
  • Oversee procurement processes and manage relationships with vendors.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure project alignment with design plans.
  • Utilize design software to create and refine space layouts and plans.
  • Review and evaluate design plans to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Liaise with contractors to ensure design specifications are clearly understood.
  • Gather and organize materials and samples necessary for project execution.
  • Maintain an organized project documentation system for easy reference.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create compelling project presentations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends to bring innovative ideas to projects.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in interior design coordination.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Revit.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of current design trends and sustainability practices.
