We are looking for a proactive and solutions- driven IT Support Administrator to keep our systems, networks and applications running smoothly.

The IT Support Administrator is responsible for maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of systems, networks, and applications. This role involves providing technical support to staff, managing hardware and software installations, and ensuring the overall security and efficiency of IT systems.
Key Responsibilities
System Administration and Maintenance
Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and computer systems.
Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and availability.
Perform regular system upgrades and patches to ensure software and hardware efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and user guides.
Network Management
Manage and maintain the company’s LAN, WAN, and VPN connections.
Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues.
Implement network security measures, such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
Ensure the network is optimized for speed, security, and scalability.
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including those related to bandwidth, routing, and connectivity.
IT Support and Troubleshooting
Provide technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network issues.
Respond to help desk tickets, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of user issues.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot software and hardware across the organization.
Manage user accounts, access control, and permissions in line with security policies.
Assist employees with setting up workstations and peripheral devices (printers, scanners, etc.).
Security and Data Protection
Implement and monitor IT security protocols to protect company data and systems.
Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.
Manage antivirus, malware protection, and data encryption across all devices and systems.
Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
Maintain backup systems and disaster recovery plans, ensuring data integrity and availability.
Software and Hardware Management
Install, configure, and maintain software applications across the company.
Ensure that software licenses are up to date and compliant with company policies.
Manage hardware inventory, ensuring timely procurement, maintenance, and retirement of equipment.
Perform hardware repairs, upgrades, and replacements as necessary.
Collaboration and Communication
Work closely with the Chief Engineer to ensure alignment of IT systems with business goals.
Assist in implementing IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology rollouts.
Communicate technical issues and solutions clearly to non-technical staff.
Stay updated on the latest technology trends and advancements to recommend improvements.
Cloud and Virtualization Management
Manage cloud-based services and resources, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Administer and maintain virtualized environments to ensure efficient use of resources.
Monitor and optimize cloud resource usage to maintain cost-effectiveness.
Backup and Recovery
Ensure regular backups are performed and maintain backup integrity and accessibility.
Implement and manage disaster recovery plans, including failover strategies for critical systems.
Regularly test backup and recovery processes to ensure they function as intended in case of emergencies.
Compliance and IT Audits
Ensure systems are compliant with company policies, industry standards, and relevant regulations.
Assist with IT audits, providing documentation and reports on system integrity, performance, and security.
Track and document compliance measures to ensure readiness for any external audits.
Automation and Optimization
Identify opportunities for automation in IT processes to enhance operational efficiency.
Implement and maintain automation scripts to streamline repetitive tasks (e.g., backups, system monitoring).
Continuously optimize IT processes for better performance, cost reduction, and scalability.
Vendor and Contract Management
Liaise with external vendors to manage hardware, software, and IT service contracts.
Coordinate the procurement of new technology and ensure proper installation and configuration.
Ensure timely renewals of support contracts and warranties.

Job Specification
Proven experience in providing technical support, hardware configuration, and networking in the UAE.
Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS), software applications, and common office productivity tools.
Familiarity with computer hardware components, peripherals, and basic networking concepts.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
Effective communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical staff.
Organizational skills to manage IT assets, procurement, and documentation.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
Basic knowledge of IT security practices and data privacy.
Previous experience in event technical support and on-site installations.
Familiarity with remote desktop support tools, firewall, and VPN.
Understanding of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) practices.
Experience with managing and troubleshooting printers, servers(AD, DNS, DHCP, File server, Hyper-V), and networking equipment.
Knowledge of cloud-based services (e.g., Office 365) and collaboration tools.
Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is an added advantage.
