As an IT Operations and Support Engineer specializing in Application Support, you will be an essential part of our technology team, responsible for maintaining and enhancing the functionality of our IT systems. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our applications operate smoothly and efficiently, addressing any technical issues that arise, and assisting end-users with their application-related problems. Working closely with different teams, including development and quality assurance, your role will involve troubleshooting complex issues, providing expert solutions, and implementing performance improvements. Your keen analytical skills, detailed knowledge of system operations, and dedication to delivering excellent support will be critical in enhancing user experience and satisfaction. Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain applications to ensure optimal performance and availability.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve application-related issues promptly and efficiently.
Collaborate with software developers to ensure seamless integration and operation of applications.
Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and IT staff.
Document issues and resolutions to develop a knowledge base for ongoing support.
Install, configure, and maintain application software and upgrades.
Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with security protocols.
Performance tuning of applications to optimize their efficiency.
Coordinate with external vendors for problem resolution as needed.
Test and implement new applications, tools, and system upgrades.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure data protection.
Train users on new applications, tools, and system functionality enhancements.
Requirements
Proven experience in IT support or application support roles.
Strong understanding of IT operations and support methodologies.
Experience with monitoring tools to ensure system performance and reliability.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
Knowledge of scripting languages to automate routine tasks and processes.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
