Job Description

The role of an Incident Manager is a crucial component within the IT and operational framework of any organization. As an Incident Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all necessary processes to resolve incidents as quickly as possible, minimizing the impact on business operations. You will act as the main point of contact for resolving any major incidents that might disrupt business operations, ensuring that detailed incident reports are well-documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders. The ideal candidate has strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, capable of handling high-pressure situations with ease. Your ability to work closely with technical teams and liaise between various departments is essential for ensuring swift and effective incident resolution, ultimately safeguarding the organization’s reputation and operational integrity.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the incident management process to ensure swift resolution of issues.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to investigate and resolve incidents effectively.
  • Develop and maintain incident management protocols and procedures.
  • Ensure proper documentation and communication of incident details and resolutions.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all major incidents affecting operations.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to communicate incident status and impact information.
  • Monitor incident trends to identify and implement corrective measures.
  • Ensure that incidents are resolved within defined SLA constraints and timelines.
  • Conduct post-incident reviews to identify improvement opportunities in processes.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on incident management protocols.
  • Proactively identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Maintain an incident management tool with up-to-date information and reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related discipline is required.
  • Proven experience in incident management or a similar field for at least three years.
  • Excellent leadership and decision-making skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess incident trends and improvement areas.
  • Exceptional communication abilities for effective liaison with stakeholders and teams.
  • Experience with incident management tools and IT service management concepts.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments.
