Role Overview
The Head of Tech & Omnichannel Infrastructure at SQUATWOLF is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping and driving the technology vision, strategy, and execution. This role is pivotal in building a fully integrated, scalable, and future-ready technology ecosystem that seamlessly connects e-commerce, retail, logistics, and back-end operations. The ideal candidate is innovative, hands-on, strategic, and experienced in integrating advanced technologies, including AI, into customer-facing and internal operational processes.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive technology roadmap aligned with SQUATWOLF’s business objectives and global omnichannel strategy.
- Drive innovation, automation, and operational scalability across digital and retail channels.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing technology team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Implement agile methodologies, define KPIs, and manage the delivery of impactful technology initiatives.
Omnichannel Technology Architecture
- Own, optimize, and continuously enhance the end-to-end technology stack, including Shopify Plus (Headless), React Native Apps (iOS & Android), SAP ERP, Vinculum OMS, Backbone PLM, RetailPRO POS, Power BI, Return Prime, and associated integrations.
- Ensure seamless and robust integration across e-commerce, retail POS, ERP, OMS, CRM, warehouses, logistics, and analytics platforms.
- Deliver fully integrated omnichannel solutions that enhance inventory visibility, enable personalized customer experiences, streamline returns, and optimize order fulfillment accuracy.
System Integration & Automation
- Lead the integration and automation initiatives to eliminate manual data entry, enhance real-time data synchronization, and improve cross-functional efficiency.
- Automate reporting and dashboards, providing centralized and real-time visibility across all operational and customer data points.
- Streamline SAP workflows and data pipelines for enhanced operational agility and accuracy.
E-Commerce & Retail Tech
- Oversee the performance, uptime, reliability, security, and scalability of Shopify Plus and POS systems (RetailPRO).
- Implement advanced technologies to enhance customer personalization, engagement, and seamless checkout experiences across all sales channels.
- Align online and offline customer data for unified customer insights and inventory management.
AI, Analytics & Emerging Technologies
- Implement AI-driven solutions across internal operations and customer-facing platforms, leveraging advanced analytics, forecasting, and automation.
- Identify and adopt emerging technologies that introduce innovative features for consumers and streamline internal processes.
- Embed AI capabilities into customer journeys, personalization engines, demand forecasting, and advanced analytics to enhance business decision-making.
Data Governance & Compliance
- Ensure robust data governance frameworks, compliance, and security standards across all technology platforms.
Future Readiness & Digital Transformation
- Lead the continuous digital transformation of SQUATWOLF to stay ahead of consumer expectations and technology trends.
- Evaluate and implement cutting-edge solutions to future-proof business operations and customer experiences.
- Act as a strategic partner to founders, identifying technology-driven growth opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 8–10+ years in senior technology leadership roles, with at least 3 years leading omnichannel transformation within e-commerce, retail, or consumer brands.
- Proven experience integrating retail systems with e-commerce platforms, WMS, ERP, POS, CRM, and data analytics.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Shopify Plus, React Native, SAP ERP, Vinculum OMS, Backbone PLM, RetailPRO POS, and API integrations.
- Demonstrated success in implementing AI/ML tools, advanced analytics, and real-time reporting solutions.
- Strong leadership, project management, strategic planning, and excellent communication skills with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and proficiency with tools like Jira and Confluence.
Technical Skill Set
- Frontend & Mobile: React.js (Next.js), React Native, JavaScript/TypeScript, Shopify Liquid
- Backend & Infrastructure: Python (FastAPI & Django), PHP (Laravel), Queue systems, Cloud platforms (AWS), Docker, Kubernetes, Serverless architecture, API integrations (REST/GraphQL), Middleware platforms, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Git, CI/CD tools
- Data, AI & Analytics: SAP ERP, Vinculum OMS, Power BI, data pipeline automation, GA4, Google Tag Manager, Mixpanel, AI/ML integration
