The Food Production Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of food production, ensuring that processes run seamlessly and products meet the highest standards of quality. This role involves managing a team of production staff, coordinating tasks to maintain efficient workflow, and monitoring all phases of the production process. Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in food production processes.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to maintain food quality standards.
  • Monitor production schedules to meet production goals and timelines efficiently.
  • Oversee the proper operation and maintenance of production equipment and machinery.
  • Train and develop team members in production processes and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance to address and resolve product quality issues.
  • Conduct regular inspections of production areas for safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Prepare and submit reports on production metrics to management for review.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Food Production Supervisor or similar role in food manufacturing.
  • In-depth knowledge of food production processes and quality assurance practices.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate a diverse workforce effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities and ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise in maintenance.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze production data to optimize processes.
  • Exceptional communication skills for coordinating with different departments and teams.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations essential for maintaining food quality.
  • Detail-oriented approach to managing workflows and ensuring product quality standards.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts and weekends, to meet production demands.
  • Degree or certification in food science, business management, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software for reporting and managing production schedules.
